Background
SkoleTube isn't a simple directory of edtech apps - it's a platform built to make tools work together as one connected system for Danish classrooms. That vision started with a teacher: before founding SkoleTube, Marcus Bennick spent years in Danish classrooms, and that first-hand experience shaped what he built next: not another standalone app, but a platform where the best web-based tools for education work together behind a single login.
Built by a small team with an outsized ambition, SkoleTube has grown from that starting point into the platform now used across almost every school district in Denmark, and one still guided by Bennick's original, classroom-first instinct.
The challenge
SkoleTube gives Danish teachers and students single sign-on access (via UNI-login) to a library of 27 production and presentation tools - everything from video and comic workshops to podcasting and animation. As the platform's built-in "Netflix for edtech," it has near-total freedom in choosing which tools make the cut.
The gap SkoleTube wanted to close wasn't a lack of tools, it was a lack of two-way engagement. Most of what students and teachers used let them create and consume content, but not necessarily interact with each other live, in the room, on devices they already carried.
The solution
In September 2020, SkoleTube added AhaSlides to its toolkit, bringing interactive polls, quizzes, word clouds, and Q&A to more than 600,000 students and teachers, representing roughly 90% of Denmark's entire school system at the time.
"We're so excited for AhaSlides to begin this new partnership with SkoleTube. Working side-by-side with such an esteemed online platform to help carve out a new, interactive learning environment in Denmark is a huge honour for us. It is a real testament to our software's adaptability, connectivity and suitability in the field of education."

Four ways AhaSlides fits into SkoleTube's classrooms:
- Connected learning - Anonymous participation gives quieter students an equal voice, while activities built around shared, live input pull the whole class into the conversation.
- Fun lessons - Brainstorms, quizzes, polls, and Q&A sessions let students both participate in and lead activities, building confidence alongside comprehension.
- A user-friendly interface - Simple enough for learners and educators of any digital ability, with no separate account needed beyond the UNI-login students already use.
- Cloud-based flexibility - Works equally well in the physical classroom and remote learning, so students can take part however they're attending.
The result
Since launching in September 2020, AhaSlides has stayed a standard part of the SkoleTube toolkit used across nearly every school district in Denmark. It's a relationship that has now spanned six years and continues through 2029, built not on a single rollout, but on consistent, everyday use by teachers and students across the country.
Those six years haven't been without pressure. Danish schools and education authorities hold student data protection to an exceptionally high standard, and SkoleTube has operated under sustained scrutiny to meet it, vetting every tool in its ecosystem, AhaSlides included, against strict requirements. Through all of it, the partnership hasn't produced a single regrettable incident across the schools, teachers, and students it serves. That track record speaks to both SkoleTube's diligence in choosing its partners and AhaSlides' own security and data protection practices.
Now, as SkoleTube looks to expand beyond Denmark into new markets, AhaSlides is proud to be part of that next chapter.
Key outcomes:
- A tool built for two-way engagement, standard across one of Denmark's largest school platforms since 2020
- Students participate anonymously, giving quieter voices equal footing in the classroom
- Teachers use live polls, quizzes, and Q&A to gauge understanding in real time, in person or remote
- Six years of sustained use under strict Danish data protection scrutiny, with zero regrettable incidents
- A partnership spanning 2020 through 2029 — and now extending into new markets as SkoleTube expands beyond Denmark
SkoleTube now uses AhaSlides for:
Anonymous participation - Giving every student, regardless of confidence level, an equal voice in class discussions
Interactive lessons - Brainstorms, quizzes, and polls that turn passive lessons into two-way activities
Real-time comprehension checks - Helping teachers see what's landing and adjust on the fly
Hybrid classrooms - Supporting both in-person and remote students through the same cloud-based tools
